Join author Leah Koenig for a Hanukkah soiree in celebration of her latest cookbook, Portico: Cooking and Feasting in Rome’s Jewish Kitchen.
Leah will join Jewish Food Society for a live, dynamic taping of their award-winning storytelling podcast, Schmaltzy, and a conversation with JFS Program Director and Schmaltzy host, Amanda Dell, about Rome’s 2,000-year old Jewish community and its uniquely delicious cuisine.
After the story and conversation, attendees will have a chance to sample a variety of Hanukkah-inspired dishes from Portico and from Jewish Food Society’s recipe archives, toast with wine (or a cocktail!) and have their copies of Portico signed.
This event is being produced in collaboration with Ace Hotel Brooklyn and The Neighborhood: An Urban Center for Jewish Life.
