Join The Neighborhood on Monday, June 2 for Schvitz & Giggles! We’re taking over Greenpoint Comedy Club for a night of all-Jewish standup featuring Elon Altman, Alison Leiby, Ariel Elias, and Myq Kaplan. Come celebrate the rich Jewish tradition of neurotic storytelling, overbearing mother anecdotes, and big laughs, all night long!

Elon Altman

The winner of Season 3 of New York's Got Talent, Elon Altman is a stand up comedian born and raised in New York City. Elon is a regular at the world famous Comedy Cellar in NYC, was a finalist in the 2021 Boston Comedy Festival and has been featured on AXS TV's "Gotham Comedy Live." Elon was a contributing writer for the Netflix Roast of Tom Brady, Netflix’s “Torching 2024” and the Comedy Central Roast of Alec Baldwin. Elon has headlined Carolines On Broadway multiple times, including as part of their Breakout Artist Comedy Series. Elon tours regularly with Modi and JR De Guzman, and has also opened for Dennis Miller, Demetri Martin, and others.

Elon is the co-host of the podcasts “Billy Joel A to Z” and “Comics Guessing Punchlines.”

Ariel Elias

Ariel Elias is a comedian living in New York City. Growing up, this Kentucky Jew made everyone laugh at her bat mitzvah, and the rest is history. Today, her comedy is a fun mesh of unique, personal stories mixed with witty and wry observations.

Described as “a sly young comic from Kentucky” by the New York Times, Ariel has also been featured in Rolling Stone, the Washington Post, and on Good Morning America. She was named a “New Face” at the 2021 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, as well as Paste Magazine’s Best Comedians of 2022.

After catching Jimmy Kimmel’s attention with a viral stand-up clip that displayed her cool, calm, and hilarious composure, he invited Ariel to make her late night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! which received over one million views on YouTube. In 2024, she followed it up with an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

When not performing, she’s probably petting a dog or struggling through a crossword puzzle.

Myq Kaplan

Myq “Mike” Kaplan has appeared on the Tonight Show, Conan, Letterman, James Corden, Seth Meyers, Comedy Central, Last Comic Standing, and America’s Got Talent. His newest special “Rini” is out on YouTube starting November 19, 2025 at 8pm Eastern Time. He also has a half-hour special on Comedy Central, a one-hour standup special on Amazon called “Small, Dork, and Handsome,” and a Dry Bar special called “Live From The Universe,” as well as two podcasts, “The Faucet” and “Broccoli and Ice Cream,” and a book of his jokes illustrated by Ramin Nazer called “Heart Brain Art Train.” His debut album, “Vegan Mind Meld,” was one of iTunes’ top 10 comedy albums of the year, and his last album, “A.K.A.,” debuted at #1 and was called “invigoratingly funny” by the NY Times!

Alison Leiby

Alison Leiby is a stand-up and writer in New York. She has written for the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The President Show, The Opposition with Jordan Klepper, and many other television shows. She opened for Ilana Glazer on her recent tour and was a producer on her Amazon special "The Planet Is Burning." Her humor writing has appeared in The New York Times, New York Magazine, Vice, and many other publications. She produces and hosts the monthly comedy-storytelling show It's a Long Story.
