About the event

The early Hasidic masters took seriously the idea in our tradition that on the holiday of Sukkot we should be “ach sameach” – only joyous! “How would we achieve this, though?” they asked. And thus the Simchat Beit Hashoeiva – a custom of embodied celebrations during Sukkot – was born. Here in Brooklyn, we’ll celebrate this holiday through an ecstatic dance by Lawrence Dreyfuss of The Sabbath Dance, delicious treats, live music, and an epic sound bath. Come dressed to move!

If you’re looking for all-comers, spiritually alive, perfection-averse, be-here-as-you-are, irreverently traditional community that celebrates all life journeys, recovery experiences included, you’ve come to the right place.
