Join The Neighborhood for an afternoon of reflection, meditation, music, and ritual with meditation teacher Alison Laichter and songleader Martine Duffy.
Rosh Hashanah and the High Holidays invite us to pause and take stock of the year behind us. What are we carrying that no longer serves us? What are we ready to release? What hopes, intentions, and possibilities are waiting just beneath the surface?
This free outdoor gathering will take place at Brooklyn Bridge Park on Sunday, September 13 (the second day of Rosh Hashanah). Together, we'll explore the themes of beginning again and letting go through meditation, song, and the ancient practice of tashlich.
For centuries, Jewish communities have gathered beside flowing water during the High Holiday season to symbolically release the burdens, regrets, and missteps of the past year. The word tashlich means "casting away," offering us an opportunity to let go of what weighs us down and…
