Join The Neighborhood for a High Holiday ritual of reflection, mindfulness, and song with meditation teacher Alison Laichter and musician Martine Duffy.
Tashlich is a centuries-old practice in which communities gather by a flowing body of water to symbolically release the burdens, regrets, and missteps of the past year. The word “tashlich” means “casting away," a spiritual cleansing and a chance to begin again.
The tradition of Tashlich during the High Holidays invites us to reflect deeply on the past year and notice if we've been living lives that embody our values, decide what we want or need to let go of to make space for the new, and plant ourselves on the path to truly become who we want to be.
