About the event
In October 2025, Sukkot in The Neighborhood is back for its third year, presenting a Sukkah created by artist Susan Stainman. Stainman’s Structures of Welcoming is inspired by the holiday's tradition of welcoming ancestors, referencing radical, cultural, and mystical lineages within Jewish history.
Throughout the eight days of the holiday, Sukkot in The Neighborhood will present ten public programs in conjunction with fifteen partners representing a diverse array of Jewish backgrounds–the events taking place in the Sukkah share the perspectives of Ashkenazi, Sephardic, and Mizrahi Jews, Queer Jews, Jews of Color, Modern Orthodox, Renewal, and non-denominational communities, and offer programs for audiences of all ages.
Join us for one (or more!) of our ten events in an art Sukkah as dynamic as Brooklyn’s Jewish community.
