About the event
Come explore the deep historic and contemporary connection between Tarot and Jewish thought. In this exciting event, attendees will learn from and engage with historian Stav Appel about the connections between the Tarot de Marseille — the artistic ancestor of the Tarot cards we know today — and Jewish faith and oppression, uncovering hidden Jewish symbols which have shaped the contemporary Tarot we know today.
Following this interactive exploration, Stav is joined by Jewish Tarot practitioners and Kabbalists Alexandra Neuman and Mark Horn for a conversation on the form, function, and fortune found in contemporary Tarot practice, facilitated by Caro Sarkozi.
