Get ready to celebrate Purim at Purim Jamboree with The Neighborhood, Tkiya, B'nai Brooklyn, Repair the World, PJ Library, and The Greenpoint Shul! Put on your best Queen Esther crowns and Haman hats to join us for North Brooklyn’s most exciting Purim party. This festive Purim carnival-inspired day will be packed with lively music, face painting, balloon animals, crafts, and of course, delicious hamentashen. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

This event is best suited for children aged 0-6 and their families.

Carla Friend

Carla Friend is the Founder & Executive Director of Tkiya, an nonprofit organization that uses participatory music experiences to help thousands of families find their unique connection with Jewish culture and community through Carla’s educational approach. She holds a Master’s Degree in Music Education from NYU, a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Ithaca College, and has extensive experience on both the teaching and engagement ends of the field. Check out her brand new album of family-friendly Jewish music called Challalalah and stay tuned for her JKids Radio show launching in 2023 called Tkiya Town!

Lars Montanaro

Lars Montanaro (he/him) is a multi-disciplinary artist from the California mountains. He is a founding member of Chicken Big, an experimental comedy troupe (UCB, iO, Annoyance, Asylum NYC, Brooklyn Comedy Collective), and worked as the director of The Poetry Brothel NYC, an immersive poet-theatrical experience. His work has been featured at La MaMa ETC, PhysFest NYC, SF Sketchfest, Chicago iOFest, Oberlin College, The New School & NYU, and he has recently performed and developed projects with HERE Arts Center, En Garde Arts & The Center at West Park. He is trained in Meisner from the Terry Knickerbocker Studio and is currently pursuing an MFA in Contemporary Theater & Performance at The New School.
